Local food delivery

Butchers, produce sellers, honey and preserve businesses can discuss food delivery, while florists, craft sellers and independent shops can arrange local customer drops. Tracking and proof of delivery help businesses follow each order. Driver suitability, insurance and appropriate food handling arrangements must be checked before any work begins.

How the driver network works

Drivers can register their interest and tell us the areas they would consider covering. Food businesses can enquire about one-off cover, peak-period help or regular delivery arrangements. We review each request and discuss suitability, availability and terms before confirming any work.

Register as a delivery driver in Jarrow

Drivers using cars or motorbikes for paid food delivery need appropriate hire-and-reward or food-delivery insurance. We will also need to verify eligibility and other applicable requirements before engagement.
